Bertie Bookkeeper diary entry.
I hear sad news that Healey Beaver has resigned.
In his letter to PM Keir Beaver, Healey said:
"This era for dam defence required further investment through the dam defence investment plan.”
“The excellent and extensive cross-government Lodge work that completed in January - overseen by you, me and the chancellor Rachel Beaver - confirmed the scale of the challenge and the rising demands on defence.
“Since then, you have been unable, and the Treasury has been unwilling, to commit the resources that the nation needs to defend the colony at this time of rising threats."
I understood that the MoBD (Ministry of Beaver Defence) was offered only 10 billion extra logs. Healey Beaver told Keir that a 0.08% of GDL (Gross Domestic Logs) increase to defence was not enough to keep the colony safe.
I think Healey has shown much integrity.
